Bianca Wright graduated high school in 2000 and went on to enlist in the military. She spent 14 years as an American service member performing duties in aircraft maintenance, combat arms, and public affairs. She began exploring her gender identity while serving in Iraq in 2007, and decided to leave active duty and begin serving in the National Guard in 2011 to pursue transition. With changes becoming more noticeable she had to leave military service in 2014.

Bianca is now a photography student at The Art Institute of Seattle working on completing her bachelor's degree in photographic arts. We Are Women is her final thesis project in this goal. The project will be displayed in a gallery showing in downtown Seattle and hopefully will be published in book form with writings from high-profile people of the transgender community.
